The office
Technology program provides training in
preparing business documents, transcribing data,
managing records, handling communications,
scheduling, handling financial transactions,
operating a variety of business equipment,
ordering and supervising personnel. A wide range
of computer equipment and software may be used
in performing these tasks.
Office personnel serve as an information hub for
a business by scheduling appointments; providing
information to internal and external customers;
organizing and maintaining paper and electronic
files; managing projects; and producing
correspondence. They use personal computers to
run spreadsheet, word processing, database
management, desktop publishing, and graphics
programs.
